The Collaborative Advtange

Rita Davie

I am currently practicing family law at Lackowicz & Hoffman in Whitehorse, Yukon. I have experience working on a wide range of files, from relatively amicable settlements to high conflict litigation. My work has led me to seek out alternatives to the traditional court model, as I see better outcomes for people who are able to participate fully in determining their futures. I will be moving to the Kitchener/Waterloo area in fall 2016 to start a collaborative family law practice.
I believe that the collaborative process gives separating couples the best chance to resolve issues while preserving positive relationships. Where traditional models can increase conflict, collaboration strengthens communication and empowers you to reach agreements that address the interests and needs of everyone in your family.
