The Collaborative Advtange

Elizabeth Turner

I have a background of 30 years in Clinical Psychology and Teaching in a variety of regular education environments as well as specialized private settings. I have mentored/coached families and individuals through many challenging life transitions including separation and divorce. Having been through the process of divorce myself, I understand the emotional and psychological aspects that arise in all parties that are affected. From the adults that are involved to the children, each individual deals with the loss they feel, in their own way. A Collaborative Family Relations Coach is able to facilitate in helping each person deal with the emotions and feelings that accompany the changing family dynamics, as well as offering effective coping strategies that can be practiced during the resolution process and on through a lifetime. I am able to assist each party/parent in learning how to manage negative emotions and feelings, developing effective parenting skills, successful communication skills with children, and in children to deal with difficult emotions, feeling and desires openly and honestly.
Collaborative Practice allows the opportunity for individuals to achieve the best resolution in a difficult life transition, maintaining the integrity of each individual involved.
