Allan Norman

Allan is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a Chartered Financial Divorce Specialist (CFDS), a Certified Cash Flow Specialist, and holds the Canadian Investment Manager’s designation, so you can be sure that he provides expert and professional planning services.

He began his financial planning career with Sun Life in 1995. Two years later he joined the CIBC as a personal account manager assisting clients with their debt management and investments. Then, in 1999, he partnered with Simon Ffrench and founded Atlantis Financial Inc.

Before starting his career as a financial planner Allan worked as a picture framer, cabinet maker, boiler operator, lift truck operator, fishing guide, and an urban planner.

Allan lived in Kingston, Oshawa, Brockville, Oakville, Sault Ste. Marie, London, and Ottawa…before finally settling down in the Barrie area in 1992.

A long, long time ago Allan was a nationally ranked sprinter (he is slower now). He has his private pilot’s license, built a cedar strip kayak from logs, and spent a summer as a fishing guide an hour north of Wawa, where he met his wife Caroline. Together they have two children, Steven and Allison.

Allan enjoys sailing, fitness, motorcycle adventures, baking pies, and is an active member of the Barrie Ping Pong Club.

Something most people don’t know about Allan:

He grew up in the Kingston, Brockville area and his wife in the London area, yet they met each other for the first time at the A&W in Wawa.
