I am an associate with the law firm Miller, Maki LLP. in Sudbury, Ontario. I was called to the bar in July 2004 and have practiced exclusively in the area of Family Law since that time.
Disputes are resolved with respect, important relationships are kept intact, and the focus is on the future.
Collaborative Law focuses on creating an effective settlement that works for both parties. Each party’s needs are listened to with respect which allows each spouse to feel heard. This approach allows the couple to move beyond their emotional positions and to focus on reaching a settlement that works for both of them. The negotiations are based on values, not based on a win-lose mentality.
